Bears must avoid the Trap
With 4 straight wins the Chicago Bears are 8-3 and all alone on top of the NFC Central with a 1 game lead on the Green Bay Packers. They also hold the tie breaker currently with a victory in their head to head matchup in week 3 at Soldier Field.
The Bears have some tough games left on the schedule with matchups against New England and the New York Jets on the lake front before finishing up the regular season in Green Bay.
But Sunday might be the most important of their last 5 games.
On Sunday in Detroit the Bears will face a team they barely beat in week 1 who will be starting their third string QB and will be signing a new kicker off the street with their longtime place kicker landing on the IR. Sounds like an easy win against the 2-9 Lions, right?
Can you say trap?
The Bears were supposed to be able to beat both the Seahawks and Redskins at home and I think we remember what happened in both of those games. Lovie has a streaking team this year. They started the year winning 3 straight then lost 3 out of their next 4 before winning these last 4, can they make it 5?
I want to have faith and want to believe but I have a very bad feeling. If they happen to lose their playoff chances may force them to win in Green Bay on the final day of the season.
Let's just hope Lucky Smith's luck hasn't run out yet.
