The NBA is full of bench warmers. People say those people suck but that's not true. I'm saying if you make it to the NBA you are pretty good. You have to make the team so they don't stink. People thought that of Brian Scalabrine but since injury to Taj he has seen a lot more playing time. People are now seeing different of the White Mamba.
Brian Scalabrine is a 6 9" 235 pound dude out of USC. Is one of the maybe few red hair guys in the NBA. He is no short of fans. People support him no matter where the Bulls are home or away. They chant "SCALABRINE" the Bulls are home or away.
The Bulls injury to Taj has him getting more playing time. Him and Omar are the biggest guys on the bench with Taj out and is a sub in for Omar of Noah. He is nothing short of skills.
Brian is not a double double guy. If you have watched the Bulls recently he doesn't score more than 6 but he can dish like no other. You see that pass to Korver. That was sick. In the words of Stacey King "Don't do it like that White Mamba."
We would love to see Brian in this role a lot but as soon as Taj is back he will go back to being that sub for Noah and Omar. Brian will still come in if they have a big lead though. Do not worry Scalabrine fans we will see them hopefully more!
