Bulls coach Del Negro watches team play against Wizards in Wasington

I don't know how they did it but they somehow won. After losing to the Bucks, a game they should have won, they somehow beat the Cavs without superstar Lebron James, who was resting due to bumps and bruises even though he had no problem jumping up and now with every Mo Williams 3.

Just a quick sidenote, I really really dislike King James who last month when he visited the UC and he received cheers like he was home. I know he is great but he isn't Jordan. He is a sore loser, not shacking hands after losing to the Magic last season and I think we all recall him being dunked on over the summer by a college kid. Also after telling everyone I will be in the 2010 dunk contest, where was he? I hate the Nike puppet ads with him and Kobe. You name it and I basically dislike it except his game because when you get close to a triple double every night you are great.

Sorry lost it a little bit there back to the game.

The Bulls did everything they could to lose this game missing 4 straight free throws (2 apiece by Deng and Rose) to go along with 2 missed shots by Cavs forward Anderson Varejao to pull out a 109-108 victory.

Without Lebron, Mo Williams lead all scorers with 35 and went 6-11 behind the arc.

Rose lead the way for the Bulls with 24 followed by Hinrich with 23 and Deng with 22. Rose went 3-7 while Luol went 4-8 from the free throw line, which is unacceptable when you are trying to make the playoffs. Rose also had 10 assists to record another double double as well as Luol Deng who added 10 rebound and Noah who pulled down 15 board to go along with his 17 points. Joakim was key to victory scoring 4 straight down the stretch.

Surprising absent from the double-double list is rookie Taj Gibson who only had 2 points and 4 rebounds to go along with his 4 personal fouls in 24 minutes of action.

Acie Law and Chris Richard received DNP's while Jerome James was joined by Devin Brown and my favorite Joe Alexander in street clothes.

The Bulls head to New Jersey to play Saturday and then to Toronto for the game of the year on Sunday. The win leaves the Bulls tied with the Raptors for 8th in the East with 4 games left for each team.
