Chicago Cubs center fielder Marlon Byrd who was the only Cub who deserved to be named to the All Star team for the National League made an impact Tuesday night

With the bases loaded and Byrd on first he jetted around the bases from first to score on a single from Atlanta Braves catcher Brian McCann. Then in the bottom of the 9th he was able to make a play in the outfield to get Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz out at second base on a force out.

The win is the first for the NL in 13 years and marks the first time the National League will have homefield advantage in the World Series since Bud Selig made the rule a few years back.
