Michigan just can't catch a break.

Their former quarterback and current Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh isn't interested in the job and thankfully current Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald isn't interested.

Fitzgerald who has lead the Wildcats to three straight bowl games is happy coaching his former school and wants to remain in the Chicagoland area. The Wildcats have a record of 34-29 with a 18-22 inside the Big Ten since Pat took over the program after Randy Walker suddenly passed away.

Northwestern had signed the coach to a seven year contract after last season so I would expect Fitz to be coaching the Wildcats for a long time to come.

I hope Fitzgerald nothing but the best and hopes he becomes a fixture at Northwestern the way Joe Pa is at Penn State. Chicago lacks real college football and perhaps Pat can make the Wildcats, Chicago's team.
