Healthy Bulls win in DC
The Bulls are finally healthy but is it too late.
Derrick Rose got Kirk Hinrich back who left the game the other night vs Phoenix while Joakim Noah returned to the starting lineup playing almost 27 minutes and Luol Deng suited up and came off the bench after missing the last 11 games.
Rose lead all scorers with 24 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds while Taj Gibson tallied another double-double with 14 points and 16 rebounds as the Bulls beat the Wizards 95-87. The win puts them back 1.5 games behind the Raptors with 6 games remaining.
Gibson also blocked 4 shots and continues to show that he was the steal of this past year's draft. If it wasn;t for Steph Curry and Tyreke Evans he might have had a chance at the rookie of the year award.
Luol played pretty well scoring 14 and grabbing 6 rebounds while Brad Miller was awful in his return to the bench going 0-9 from the field which included being 0-3 from 3 point land. Does it bother anyone else that our center shoots so many 3's, he has taken 112 this season which is third to Hinrich and Pargo.
For the Wizards it was nice to see local product Shaun Livingston play well scoring 12 points dishing out 3 assists and grabbing 5 boards in nearly 40 minutes of action. Livingston of Peoria Central who won back to back state titles in 2003 & 2004 suffered a sickening injury back in 2007 while playing for the Clippers. Only watch the video if you have a strong stomach because it makes my knee hurt just watching it. Over the last 3 season Shaun has only played in 40 games but might have finally found a home in Washington. Since signing with the Wiz he has averaged 20 minutes a night in 18 games starting 10 of them.
Alexander watch.... With Luol's return Joe Alexander returned to being in street clothes. If you are new to my articles I'll let you in on a little joke. When they announced that Alexander was going to wear #20 I made a comment about him scoring over/under 20 points during the remainder of the season. He has 4 points. It isn't looking good for Joe.
