Julius Peppers today announced that he will becoming a two sport athlete again. To help make up for the lose of Luol Deng the Bulls approached the 6'7 Peppers about resuming his basketball career. Peppers who was a walk on at North Carolina after being heavily recruited by rival Duke to be solely a basketball player played two season for UNC and was a key reserve on a team that made it to the Final Four in 2000. Then is 2001 he scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in what became his final college basketball game. After that season he decided to focus solely on football for his season year. To make move for him on the roster they released Jerome James the center who never even suited up for a game during his time in Chicago. Peppers will continue to wear his number 90. When reached for comment Peppers said "I really look forward to playing alongside Derrick Rose" and "Derrick had been recruiting me had the past couple times I was sitting courtside" Julius is expected to be in uniform for the team's game Saturday against the Bobcats
