Rose looks Jordanesque in win over Bobcats
The video shows it all. Derrick Rose is amazing.
Rose lead all scorers in victory against the Charlotte Bobcats which probably should just start being referred to as the Charlotte Bulls since Jordan owns the team that features three former Bulls in Tyson Chandler, Tyrus Thomas and Larry Hughes.
It took all three of them to match Rose's 26 points. Capt Kirk also had a great night shooting 9 of 12 from the field including 2-4 from beyond the arc to score 24. Also rookie Taj Gibson continues to impress racking up another double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds. The way he is playing just confirms to me that we don't need to waste big money on Bosh, Boozer or Amare that Wade or Joe Johnson should be the focus.
Also Luol Deng returned to the starting lineup scoring 14 while Joakim Noah continues to improve grabbing 16 rebounds and scoring 11 points. At one point during the game he had zero points and 7 rebounds. His energy continues to drive this team.
With the win the Bulls were able to keep pass with Bosh and the Raptors who needed overtime to take care of Elton Brand and the 76ers. Fun fact from that game was former Bull Elton Brand for the first time in his career failed to grab a single rebound. Not one in 25 minutes of action.
Bulls remain 1.5 back with 6 games remaining for Chicago while Toronto has seven. And since the Raptors own the tie breaker it makes next Sunday game in Toronto very important.
Rose and Co. will catch a bit of a break with their next game against former teammate John Salmons and the Milwaukee Bucks who lost center Andrew Bogut probably for the remainder of the season the other night.
Alexander watch... Joe was again inactive for the game along with Jerome James of course. James Johnson also sat out last night's action with a foot injury while Devin Brown and Acie Law logged another DNP - coach's decision.
